The point of the dress code is to ensure that everyone looks professional at our school. I think that it’s not the 60s anymore and there are different ideas of what formality is, and traditions should be challenged if they serve no purpose. For this reason, such articles of clothing as dark jeans should be allowed, provided that people still look professional. We are adolescents, not yet adults; enforcing the standards of the workplace well before we enter it is a nice idea, but for most of us it feels like being a little boy and wearing your dad’s blazer.
